The City of Burlington is home to more than 207,000 residents. The south-end of Burlington is situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Ontario overlooking Burlington Bay, while the majestic Niagara Escarpment provides the backdrop for the mostly rural north part of Burlington. Burlington is strategically located right in the middle of the “Golden Horseshoe”, which encompasses the prosperous, urbanized area, between Oshawa and St. Catherines.
Burlington has all the amenities you would expect from a large city. It has a lively waterfront with a pier, promenade and parks. Downtown Burlington has a bustling shopping district and is home to the Burlington Performing Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of Burlington. Burlington’s Central Park provides a myriad of recreational opportunities for people of all ages. The Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital is also located in the downtown core. At the north end of Burlington there are numerous opportunities to get outside and explore nature, bicycle and play golf.
