Cachet
History:
Cachet was farmland until residential development began in the early 1990s.
Overview:
A synonym for Cachet is prestige. In the case of this neighbourhood the name fits perfectly. Nowhere is this prestige more evident than in the north end of Cachet known as Cachet Country Club. The signature street is Cachet Parkway a long winding boulevard flanked by mansions perched on estate lots that are well set back from the road. The pocket around Personna Boulevard is particularly pretty with a small creek and ponds gracing many of the properties. Songbirds chirp away happily from the mature tree canopy that cuts a swath of green through this part of the neighbourhood.
Cachet Woods, Cachet Mews and Manors of Cachet, are other subdivisions within the Cachet neighbourhood. These are very pretty subdivisions albeit not as exclusive or opulent as the aforementioned Cachet Country Club.
Lifestyle:
Cachet Centre shopping plazais anchored by a T&T Supermarket that has both english and chinese signage. The other anchor is Sport Chek. Additional businesses include a Shoppers Drug Mart, medical and professional offices, a bakery, pizza shop and coffee shop.
Homes:
Cachet has some of Markham’s largest homes and estate properties. In particular the largest homes are located on the streets off Cachet Parkway and Personna Boulevard in the north-west pocket of the neighbourhood where are many natural features including, ponds, streams and woodlots. . These brick and stone mansions are well set back from the road with mature trees providing privacy. Most of the larger mansions in north-west cachet have triple car garages.
Cachet also has a selection of more modest detached houses and townhomes located in the south-east part of the neighbourhood.
Arts:
