Neighbourhood Guide Visited The Holland Marsh

In recognition of Ontario’s 25th  Agricultural Week Neighbourhood Guide paid a visit to the “bread basket” of Ontario, the Holland Marsh. The Holland Marsh is approximately 50 minutes north of Toronto and encompasses over 20,000 acres of farmland. The soil in this region is perfect for growing vegetables like: lettuce, celery, carrots, onions and heirloom tomatoes. There are also more diverse vegetables grown here such as: Chinese broccoli, Asian radish and water spinach. Should you decide to visit this Ontario landmark there are a handful of roadside markets that sell produce to the public that are grown right here on the Holland Marsh.
