Bowes
History:
The Bowes neighbourhood was created in 2004 by the Town of Milton as part of the Boyne Survey which also included the Cobden, Ford and Walker neighbourhoods. The Bowes neighbourhood is named after brothers Thomas and Joseph Bowes who emigrated here in 1824. Both brothers married within their new community and had large families. The Bowes were prominent in this community for many years.
