Join us for a captivating evening of exploration and celebration at the Town of York Historical Society’s annual fundraising gala in celebration of Toronto’s 190th Birthday. This event not only commemorates the incorporation of the city of Toronto but also serves as a significant opportunity to support the preservation of our rich historical heritage.
This year, our annual fundraiser will be returning to St. Lawrence Hall featuring special guests, Adam Bunch, Summer Leigh, and Alessandro Tersigni as they delve into the evolving architectural scene of the Town of York and the City of Toronto to explore the role of built heritage has played in shaping the identity of our beloved city.
In addition to our lineup of speakers, we will once again be hosting our Old Town Silent Auction featuring an exciting array of items including diamond earrings from Kimberfire, photography sessions from JÉRÔME | Art & Photography, curated art baskets, theatre tickets, and so much more! The event will also include a pop-up stationary shop with local vendors and a pop-up art exhibition where you can meet members of the Women’s Art Association of Canada‘s Secret Postcard Society.
This annual fundraising event supports the Town of York Historical Society and Toronto’s First Post Office. The only museum interpreting the history of the Town of York and the early Toronto, while advocating for the preservation of the Town of York’s surviving built environment. Pre-registration is required and tickets are limited!
