Duffins Bay
History:
Duffins Bay is named after Duffins Creek a tributary of the Rouge River that flows from the hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine south to Lake Ontario. The present day residential neighbourhood was developed in the 1980s. The Breakers condominium built in 1990 rounded out the residential development of the neighbourhood.

The interior streetscapes are curvi-linear and lined with Colonial and Tudor style homes. Duffins Point Greenbelt forms a narrow green corridor that runs through the neighbourhood. The main neighbourhood landmark is Ajax Waterfront Park which offers many excellent vistas of Lake Ontario.Veterans’ Points Garden located at the east end of the Ajax Waterfront Park features striking war memorials as well as beautiful flower gardens and a large number of interpretive plaques that tell the history of Ajax and its founders.

The largest executive homes along Lake Driveway have tow or three car attached garages and are situated on very spacious lots. Many of these homes enjoy spectacular views of Lake Ontario. The Breakers condominium complex situated at Harwood Avenue and Lake Driveway is a popular condominium complex with many units having views of Lake Ontario.
