This relaxing workshop blends in-gallery art viewing, artmaking, and the Japanese tradition of shinrin yoku (forest bathing).
Program Details
Each session will begin with a focused art viewing and in-gallery intention circle, followed by a silent, meditative walk through the McMichael’s grounds. Back in the studio, participants will reflect on their experience by creating a piece of art inspired by the natural environment. The program will conclude with an art-sharing circle.
Please dress appropriately to remain outdoors for an extended period of time. We suggest bringing comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent in the summer, and boots, toques, and gloves in the winter.
Registration required. Includes Gallery Admission.
Art materials, water/tea, and are light snack included.
